Michael J. Bursch, AIA, is a sacred architect in Washington, DC. After studying architecture and theology at the University of Notre Dame, he now works with Harrison Design’s sacred architecture studio, which specializes in the design of traditional and classical churches across the country. As an independent scholar, he engages in research on the churches of the Roman Forum and on liturgical architecture topics. He lives in Falls Church, VA, with his wife and daughter.
