Father Elias Carr was ordained a priest in Arlington, VA in 1999. Entering the novitiate of Stift Klosterneuburg in 2002, he professed solemn vows as a Canon Regular of Saint Augustine in 2006, served in parishes and schools in Austria, Norway, and the United States, and earned his doctorate in theology from the Pontifical University of John Paul II in 2022. His first book, I Came To Cast Fire–An Introduction to René Girard, appeared in 2024. He currently serves as the Kammerer who is responsible for the Stift’s enterprises.
