Liturgy and Life

What is it?

The celebration of the liturgy in parishes and schools transforms the worshipping Church into a sacrifice of love for the world. In this three year cycle of conferences, participants will be formed to think about how to carry out the rites so that women and men will have a fruitful encounter with the triune God. Participants will also learn other practices necessary for living a liturgical life that might be promoted in the parish, the school, or the domestic church. Attendees in these study days will be formed to think about the liturgy as integral to the evangelization of their neighborhood and the world.

When is it?

  • June 19-23, 2017: Encountering Jesus Christ in the Bible and the Liturgy
  • June 18-22, 2018: The Eucharistic Life
  • June 17-21, 2019: Sacraments for the Life of the World

Who is invited?

This program is designed for parish leaders of liturgy and catechesis, campus ministers, and diocesan staff involved in the work of evangelization. Anyone participating for the full three year cycle will be invited to attend an advanced track that will develop resources at the national level to assist other parishes and schools in the work of liturgical evangelization.
