Article Submission Guidelines

Adoremus Bulletin occasionally publishes unsolicited articles and reviews submitted by readers on subjects concerning the Catholic liturgy. All submissions must be fully in accordance with the Holy See's documents on Liturgy, and with our mission statement.

Topics - Topics may include theology of the liturgy, liturgical music, art and architecture, translation of Scripture and liturgical texts, celebration of the sacraments. (We recommend you examine examples in relevant sections -- Architecture | Posture | Music | Translation | Article Index)

Style - Styles may vary from personal experiences or accounts to scholarly essays. The Adoremus Bulletin does not publish poetry. We strongly urge writers to become familiar with the topics and style of articles Adoremus Bulletin usually publishes before submitting.


Articles, essays - 2000-5000 words

Book or Music Reviews - 500-1000 words

The online edition of Adoremus Bulletin contains texts of most articles and essays (with very few exceptions, graphics, photos, letters-to-editor not included).

Readership - Cross-section of English-speaking Catholics, predominantly from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe, but also India, Africa and other countries. All US bishops, many Vatican officials and other bishops receive the Adoremus Bulletin, as do most US seminary libraries.

To Submit an Article:

E-mail the article as a text attachment (MS Word preferred) to the Editor with a brief personal biography. Send to editor@adoremus.org or mail a hard-copy manuscript (typed, double spaced) to the Editor, Adoremus, P.O. Box 300561, St. Louis, MO 63130 (Include stamped envelope if you wish your manuscript returned.)

NOTE: Our editorial staff is small, and there are often delays in responding to unsolicited manuscripts.
